Fernando E. Fernando has proven performance in developing, promoting, selling, financing, implementing and operating multi-million dollar international Projects. He is experienced in launching and operating international business units, strategic planning, multicultural negotiations, risk assessment of business opportunities, launching e-Commerce initiatives, and establishing strategic business alliances. Fernando has a successful track record in developing, promoting, negotiating and implementing international business initiatives: •Africa - lived in South Africa for more than one year where he led the development, engineering, implementation and operation of a multi-billion dollar industrial project. •Asia – negotiated, sold and implemented multi-million dollar Industrial projects in China, Indonesia and India. Promoted business initiatives in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. •Europe – promoted, developed and implemented Industrial Projects in Russia, Sweden, Finland, Spain and Slovakia. Promoted business initiatives in Italy, UK, France and Germany. •Latin America – developed and implemented industrial Projects in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. As the Vice President of Business Development for a multinational in Latin America based out of Sao Paulo, Brazil he increased market share for his company throughout the region. •North America - developed and implemented Industrial projects in the U.S. and Canada. Fernando led, developed and implemented multi-million dollar international projects by establishing strategic alliances through Consortiums and Joint Ventures with major contractors and suppliers in order to fast track projects, reduce costs and mitigate risk. He facilitated project financing through Export/Import Banks and Commercial banks. Fernando currently promotes and develops business opportunities between the U.S. and Latin America. He also provides services as a senior consultant to mitigate and manage risk for projects in Latin America. Fernando is the President of Trade Latin LLC, which provides valued products from Latin America in the U.S. market and in selected global markets. He is a partner in MIAS Group, a global company in the mining industry. He teaches International Business at the Institute of International Business at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business - Georgia State University. Fernando served as CEO at TPPX.com, an e-Commerce solutions provider for the industry in Latin America.At Harnischfeger Industries (Beloit Corp. & Joy Mining Corp.), Fernando served as Beloit’s Vice President of Business Development and Sales for Latin America and as Global Director of Business Development and Sales. Prior to joining Beloit, Fernando served as Project Manager and Senior Consultant at Chas T. Main Engineering in Boston (Parsons Corporation) where he engineered and managed the implementation of North American and International Projects. Fernando earned his Master's Degree in Engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh and has executive management training at MIT’s Sloan Business School. He is proficient in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

He has promoted and secured financing for real estate and industrial projects. He has managed the engineering and implementation of industrial projects. Carlos responsibility is to establish Global Strategic Alliances and Partnership on behalf of TWG Global Consulting and Trade Latin LLC for the implementation of Energy Systems in Latin America. He has served as financial officer for Bank of America and Flagstar Bank. Carlos has a degree in industrial engineering from North Carolina State University and executive management training by financial institutions. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Frederick J.Wheeler - Vice President Specialty Products fred.wheeler@tradelatin.com Fred has over 25 years of experience sales, marketing and manufacturing of building materials. He served as General Manager of AFCO Industries, a leader in the manufacture of specialty building products.Fred spent over 20 years at Abitibi-Price, a leader in the forest products industry, where he served in various executive positions. As Manager of Technical Sales, he was responsible for broadening the plastics marketing effort away from just foam extruded mouldings. Fred developed marketing and sales strategies for introducing new products in the marketplace. He has extensive experience in product development and manufacturing of building materials. Fred has received his B.S. in Wood Technology from the University of Illinois and M.S. in Wood and Paper Science from North CarolinaStateUniversity.
Xuan Nguyen - Vice President Chemical Products xuan.nguyen@tradelatin.com Xuan has over 20 years of experience in process optimization and implementation of technical solutions for the pulp and paper industry. He has worked as a Senior Scientist and Project Manager for Champion International. He has participated in the design and start-up of pulp and paper mills. As a Research Scientist at Mead Corporation he developed and implemented pulping and bleaching processes.Xuan is a Chemical Engineer and received his Ph.D. Degree in Wood and Paper Science from North CarolinaStateUniversity. He has published Technical Papers in the Technical Association for the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
Claudio Pires - Diretor Geral Trade Latin do Brasil claudio.pires@tradelatin.com Claudio is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience in the Brazilian industry. He has worked in sales, business development, consulting and as senior executive. He has served as the President of ANAVE, which is the Trade Association for the Pulp and Paper Industry in Brazil. Claudio provides consulting services to companies in strategic planning and growth. He graduated from the University of Rio de Janeiro with a B.S. in Electronic Engineering and a M.S. in Nuclear Engineering.
